Question
I need to transfer some money to a person in Austria and the clerk told me yesterday to figure out myself what to write on the payment slip. Please tell me what should I write under
'Nur zum maschinellen Bedrucken der Zahlungsreferenz'; 'Verwendungszweck'; and 'Kontoinhaberin'?

Answer
Definitely not the world's most helpful bank clerk!
EmpfängerIn: The name of the person/organisation you are paying.
IBAN: Of coaxer the IBAN account number of the person you are paying. You don't need to also write the BIC if you are paying someone in the EU.
You can ignore “Nur zum maschinellen Bedrucken der Zahlungsreferenz”.
“Verwendungszweck” is usually the reference/billing number, etc. You will find it printed somewhere on the invoice. If you really can't find it, use the invoice number and your surname.
“KontoinhaberIn” is you. So write your IBAN and your full name (or the name under which you opened the account you’re sending the money from).
