Counseling Center for Migrants: Useful information

The "Beratungszentrum für Migranten und Migrantinnen" or Counseling Center for Migrants, which is based in Vienna, provides information sheets in various languages on a number of issues relating to migration and work for internationals who are living in Austria.


These include:

  • The employment of foreigners in Austria: What are the conditions under which a foreigner may be employed?

  • Settlement and Employment of Family Members: Can I bring my family members to live with me in Austria? Can they be employed?

  • Right of residence and labor market access of EEA citizens and their family members

  • Acquisition of Austrian citizenship

  • Immigration of qualified workers

  • Most important family benefits

  • Important services of the Public Employment Service (AMS)


Visit their website for the information sheets, to find out about the occasional events that they run, or to find out what other services they can provide.

The Centre is sponsored by the AMS and Stadt Wien.
