EURES "Living and Working in Austria" Guide

EURES/the AMS have produced this 42-page guide to living and working in Austria. It was published in 2024.

The European Employment Servies (EURES) is the EU's jobs portal which helps jobseekers to find jobs and employers to recruit from all over Europe.

EURES "facilitates the free movement of workers by providing information and employment support services to workers and employers, and by enhancing cooperation and information exchange between its member organisations.

Contents

The brochure includes sections on:

  • Introduction to Austria (geography and population; political system, languages, labour market etc.)

  • Entry into Austria (immigrating: reporting obligation; residence; bringing pets into Austria)

  • Living conditions (cost of living; renting accommodation; cars and diriving licences etc.)
