Find out where you can get stuff repaired (rather than replacing an otherwise good item with new) in using this guide: https://www.reparaturfuehrer.at. The guide covers almost anything you can think of:

The Reperaturbonus
What's more, you can use the Reparaturbonus scheme to be subsidised for getting things repaired. Perhaps most commonly the Reperaturbonus can be used to replace your phone's battery or screen but it can be used to repair any electrical or electronic item. The process of claiming your money back is very straightforward:
Who can benefit from this scheme?
Anyone who has their main residence in Austria can take part in this scheme.
What devices qualify for the repair subsidy?
The subsidy can be used for the repair of any household electrical or electronic items. This covers items that are mains powered, battery/rechargable battery operated and solar powered.
Examples include: food processor, kettle, lights, headset, smartphone, notebook, washing machine, e-bikes, toys, speakers, high-pressure cleaner...
From 16 September 2024 bicycle repairs are also covered by the scheme.
Items that are NOT covered include cars, weapons, things that are powered by non-renewable energy (e.g. camping gas burners) and devices which produce energy (e.g. photovoltaic systems). See https://www.reparaturbonus.at/fileadmin/user_upload/media/reparaturbonus_negativliste.pdf
How do you make a claim?
The procedure is very simple: You visit the https://www.reparaturbonus.at website, click on the red "Reperaturbonus erstellen" button, fill in your details (name, address, date of birth etc.), and print the resulting voucher ("Reperaturbon"). Take this with you when you get your device repaired and they will do the rest.
How many claims can I make under the scheme?
The number of claims per person is unlimited (so long as the scheme's funding is sufficient) but you can only have one active voucher at a time, so you will need to wait until your repairer has processed a voucher before you can apply for the next one.
How much will you receive back?
You can claim up to 50% of the cost up to a maximum of €200 per repair and/or up to €30 for obtaining a cost estimate (quotation) for a repair.
Funded by the European Union's NextGenerationEU scheme, there is no limit to the amount you can claim per year (except that you can only have one active voucher at a time).
Where can I take a device for repair?
There are thousands of participating companies throughout Austria. Find one here: https://www.reparaturbonus.at/#suche
How long will the scheme last for?
The scheme will last for as long as there is funding or until it expires on 31 March 2026.
Note that most of the above websites above are in German, but your browser will translate them for you.
