Zulassungsschein now available on eAusweise app on your mobile phone in Austria

In addition to the digital driving licence, your car’s Zulassungsschein (registration certificate) is now available on your mobile phone as Austria pushes onwards towards digital government.

In order to load the digital registration certificate in the "eAusweisen" app, the "Digitales Amt" app must be installed on the same device and you must have the full version of ID-Austria. The basic variant is not enough.

Other requirements are an activated fingerprint or face recognition on the mobile phone as well as the possession of a valid Austrian Zulassungsschein in your own name. If all requirements are met, the relevant document can be loaded in the "eAusweisen" app.

Currently digital government documents are only valid in Austria but roll-out is expected throughout the EU eventually.
