The law regarding lawn mowing and other noisy activities

It might surprise those new to Austria that there are laws governing when you can and cannot cut your grass and use other motor-driven equipment at home. In particular, it is often forbidden to cut your grass on a Sunday or public holiday and maybe over lunchtime on other days too.
